Where Schertz businesses are putting up lights
Much of Schertz’s newer retail sits along I-35. Schertz Station is a 257,000-square-foot retail and dining hub off I-35 North and Cibolo Valley Drive, where Panera Bread opened as the first tenant and construction was reported to run through 2026. Portillo’s has a restaurant on the I-35 north frontage road. The city’s municipal complex is at 1400 Schertz Parkway.
A new building on the frontage road and an older shop off Main Street are different jobs, which is why every quote is priced for the property. Text the address and what the building is. For storefronts, offices, dealerships and managed properties, the lights are LED, warm white or color, custom cut to the roofline so no wire shows. The commercial holiday lighting page has the full list of what we do.
Holidazzle and December in Schertz
The City of Schertz has held Holidazzle in early December. In 2022 it came with a Kris Kringle Market, an ice rink and a sledding hill called Mt. Schertz, and the Festival of Angels lighted night parade started at 6 p.m. and ran from Pickrell Park to Community Circle Drive at the Hal Baldwin Municipal Complex.
In 2023 the city held it again at the complex on Schertz Parkway. Its council presentation planned road closures starting at 4 p.m. for secondary roads and a full shutdown at 5:30 p.m. We have no 2026 date and are not going to guess one, so check the City of Schertz’s events page.
Installation and takedown happen outside business hours, so your doors stay open and your lot stays clear on a busy evening. Installs start October 20.
After New Year’s: takedown and what you keep
Takedown is after New Year’s, again outside business hours. The lights are boxed and packed for you to keep, because Pratt does not store lights, so plan space for the boxes.
Trees and edges can be added. Tree lighting is available on request and quoted separately, and walkway, driveway and landscape-border lighting is available too. Tell Pratt what you have on the property when you text. Say if the building is a single storefront or part of a larger center, so the quote starts from the right place.
